Dear Mr. Fitzsimmons,
I went to the East Dallas Government Center on St. Francis Street last Monday, January 26. The evening before, I reread part of the package my tour company had sent me and thought that I needed a visa to get into Egypt from Israel. I was panicky because I am leaving Friday, January 30. The women who were in that office were so kind and professional that I felt they needed some kudos from a very pleased customer who needed help from the Department of State!
The first woman was very helpful as she listened to my tale of woe, after which the supervisor then came over to help. They gave me very sound advice and assistance, even copying a page from the phone book for businesses that might be able to help me. When they gave me a web site to go to, I told them that I am technologically challenged, and so they had another young lady look up information on the web site and printed it out for me. After giving me some other possible solutions to my dilemma, they all wished me well and told me to come back if I needed more help.
Government workers often don’t get the credit they are due, and I wanted you to know that those workers there are very professional and helped this poor taxpayer above and beyond the call of duty! Please know that Ruth, Jeffie, Oscar, Joy, Marie and Lizeth are fine employees and have my gratitude.
May God bless you and all those who work hard for us taxpayers!
Sincerely,
Elisabeth Behrend
